This book published by Rekhta Publications, "Sadiyon ka Raqs: Shaista Yusuf", is her first novel, which takes the reader on a journey from a magical and ancient world to a digital universe. The novel clearly reflects themes of spirituality, materialism, politics, ethics, economics, and media behavior. It is worth reading also because it encompasses all the aspects of conflict, contradiction, and reconciliation between the individual and society—elements that directly influence human life. This work by Shaista Yusuf is a valuable gift for any novel reader. Shaista Yusuf is a renowned personality in the world of Urdu. Besides being a well-known poet, she is also recognized as an active contributor in educational, social, and cultural spheres of the Urdu community. Three of her poetry collections have been published: "Gul-e-Khud-Rau" (1984) which includes nazms and ghazals; "Sooni Parchhaiyaan" (2011); and "Aab-e-Aaina" (2022)—both consisting of nazms. Her writings are also included in the state curriculum textbooks. Shaista Yusuf wrote a monograph on Mahmood Ayaz in 2010. In 2013, she translated “Vachanas” from Kannada into Urdu, and in 2019, she translated "Tales of Tomorrow" under the auspices of Sahitya Akademi.
