Ameer Imam

Ameer Imam is a contemporary Indian Urdu poet and one of the notable voices of the younger generation of Urdu poetry. Born in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, he holds a Master's degree in English and is associated with the teaching profession. His poetry combines imagination and artistic expression with fresh themes and perspectives on life. He is particularly known for his inventive use of similes and metaphors and for bringing contemporary sensibilities into the classical tradition of Urdu ghazal.
