Moid Rasheedi

Dr. Moid Rasheedi is an acclaimed Urdu poet, literary critic, scholar, and academic whose work has made a notable contribution to contemporary Urdu literature. His poetry explores human emotions, philosophy, existence, and contemporary life, while his literary criticism examines Urdu poetry and its evolving traditions. His acclaimed book Takhleeq, Takheel Aur Isteara received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in Urdu in 2013, one of India's prominent literary honours for young writers. He has also received the Sajjad Zaheer & Razia Sajjad Zaheer Merit Award (JNU) and the Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Yuva Puraskar Samman for his contribution to Urdu literature. As a scholar and teacher at Aligarh Muslim University, Dr. Rasheedi has contributed to Urdu literary studies through research, teaching, and critical writing. His notable works include Takhleeq, Takheel Aur Isteara, Momin Khan Momin: Hayat Aur Mutaliati Tarjeehat, Tahreer, Wahshat: Hayat Aur Fan, Jadeediyat Aur Ghazal, and the poetry collections Aakhiri Kinaare Par and Ishq.
