Fikr Tonswi

Fikr Taunsvi was a renowned Urdu humorist, satirist, writer, columnist and journalist, widely remembered for his sharp observations on society and everyday life. Born in Taunsa Sharif in 1918, his real name was Ram Lal Bhatiya. He worked in several professions before establishing himself as a literary writer and journalist. His famous satirical column Pyaaz Ke Chhilke, published in the Urdu newspaper Milaap, became one of his most popular works and continued for several decades. He was also associated with literary magazines including Adab-e-Latif and Sawera. His writing combined humour, satire and social commentary, often focusing on ordinary people and the realities of everyday life.
