Dr Azam

Dr. Azam is a contemporary Urdu poet and author from Bhopal, known for his ghazals and books on Urdu poetry, language and prosody. His literary work reflects a strong engagement with the traditions of Urdu poetry as well as the technical aspects of poetic composition. He has written extensively on Arooz, the system of Urdu poetic metres, pronunciation and literary expression. His published works include Aasan Arooz, Alfaz, Talaffuz Aur Aroozi Auzan, Lafzon Ki Maseehai, Deewan-e-Azam and Dard Ka Chand Bujh Gaya. Rekhta features his ghazals and poetry alongside his published books.
