Asim Wasti

Asim Wasti is a contemporary Urdu poet and author based in Abu Dhabi. Born in 1958, he is the son of renowned Urdu writer and poet Shaukat Wasti. Alongside his professional career as a doctor, Asim Wasti has established himself as a notable voice in Urdu poetry. His literary work includes ghazals, nazms and other forms of Urdu poetry, often exploring love, human relationships, social realities and the complexities of everyday life. His poetry is known for its accessible language and contemporary sensibility. Rekhta features more than 150 ghazals and several nazms by him. His published poetry collections include Kiran Kiran Andhera, Aag Ki Saleeb and Tera Ehsan Ghazal Hai.
