Asif Sarosh

Syed Sarosh Asif is a contemporary Urdu poet known for his simple, expressive and emotionally engaging ghazals. Born in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, in 1980, he grew up in a family with a strong literary tradition and developed an early interest in poetry and Urdu literature. His poetry often explores love, separation, migration, relationships, memories of homeland and contemporary social experiences. He is particularly appreciated for writing ghazals in simple metres and using clear, accessible language rather than complicated expressions. Alongside his literary work, he works as a bank officer in Abu Dhabi and regularly participates in literary events in India and Dubai.
