Biography

Ammar Iqbal is a contemporary Pakistani Urdu poet, writer and translator known for his experimental approach to Urdu poetry. Born in Karachi in 1986, he later settled in Lahore. His literary work includes ghazals, nazms, prose poetry and translations. He has also experimented with contemporary poetic forms while maintaining a connection with the classical traditions of Urdu literature. Alongside poetry, Ammar Iqbal has worked as a teacher and radio broadcaster. His published works cover poetry, philosophy, fiction and literary translation, making him a notable contemporary voice in Urdu literature.
