Ameer Hamza Saqib

Amir Hamza Saqib is a contemporary Urdu poet and writer associated with the new generation of Urdu literature. Born in Mumbai and originally from Azamgarh, he developed an interest in poetry under the influence of his father and later became a pupil of the poet Shakir Adibi. He completed his M.A. and has taught Urdu at Samadia Junior College. He is currently associated with Ghulam Muhammad Women's College in Bhiwandi as an Assistant Professor. His poetry has appeared in several literary magazines, and he has also recited his poetry on All India Radio. Alongside poetry, he has an interest in fiction and essay writing and has contributed to literary and cultural programmes. Notable Works: Mausam-e-Kashf (2014) Jism Ka Bartan Sard Pada Hai (2019)
