Abbas Tabish

Biography: Abbas Tabish is a prominent Pakistani Urdu poet, particularly known for his ghazals and contemporary poetic style. He began writing poetry at a young age and later pursued higher education in Urdu at Government College Lahore, where he completed his MA in Urdu in 1986. He has worked with Urdu newspapers and has also taught Urdu as a lecturer and professor. His poetry explores themes of love, separation, spirituality, human emotions, nature and social life. He has participated in mushairas in Pakistan and abroad and is widely read in both Pakistan and India. His notable poetry collections include Aasman, Ishq-Abaad, Agar Main Sher Na Kahta, Tamheed and Raqs-e-Darvesh.
