Aims & scope
The Lighthouse Journal of Education & Pedagogy publishes research conducted in real classrooms, preferably by people who have taught in them. The journal's centre of gravity is the multilingual, under-resourced school — which is to say, the ordinary school for most of the world's children — and the pedagogies that work there.
We publish classroom-based intervention studies, curriculum and assessment research, teacher-education research and policy analysis. Practitioner research is welcome and is reviewed on its own terms: we do not require a control group where one would have been unethical or impossible, but we do require that you say plainly what you can and cannot conclude.
The journal is open access with no author charges. Instruments, rubrics and teaching materials are published as supplementary files so that other teachers can use them.
